Tigers with Talent

Catch up on some of the amazing achievements of our tigers on and off the field.

Want to celebrate your achievements? Tell us about them and celebrate with your tigers family

Tiger Strong

How good is this from one of our young tigers?

Ethan, a tiger through and through, has shown massive improvement on the football field since the day he started. But it hasn't just been on the football field that the achievements have been coming.

On the athletics field Ethan is also showing a strength in another event that is getting him recognition.

Ethan has just made it to regional athletics in the event of Shot Put.

Anyone who knows Ethan can attribute passion as one of the key things that comes out when you speak to him and watch him put in the effort at what he does. Shot put is no different.

Congratulations on your result so far Ethan and we look forward to hearing about how you go at regional as well.

Basketball Roar

One of our young tigers is doing great things on the basketball court.

Lincoln is 9 years old and has been chosen in an UNDER 12s rep side for basketball for the South West Sydney ROAR. Lincoln has only been playing basketball for 2 years. His coach sees the benefit and similarities of Basketball to AFL. "A lot of the skills are transferrable" he said. "We encourage Lincoln to keep playing AFL and it will help with his basketball".

A Miami Heat fan, with favourite player Jimmy Butler, Lincoln will often hide in his headphones and shoot hoops waiting for the day he is tall enough to dunk on his brother!

Dreams of hoops or goals, Lincoln is striding on and making every goal (or hoop) count.

We couldn't be prouder of one of our Tiger family.

Well done Lincoln and keep up the good work.

Tiger Smarts

We celebrate all things Tigers and when someone achieves something they want to share with us, we are happy to celebrate with them.

Many of our tigers will this year finish year 6 and move onto year 7 for 2023.

Among that cohort is young tiger Kabir.

Kabir sat the academic selective exam for high school enrolment and got accepted into the prestigious North Sydney Boys High School.

North Sydney Boys High School has produced some very famous alumni including:

  • Former Supreme Court Justice Athol Moffitt, CMG

  • Chairman of the ABC, Maurice Newman

  • Former Chair of Autistic Children's Association, Dr Andrew Vern-Barnett AM, MBE

  • TV Anchor Peter Overton

  • Former Australian Cricket Captain, Allan Border OAM.

Kabir joins this amazing group through dedication and commitment to his studies.

We congratulate Kabir and look forward to seeing his achievements on and off the field in years to come.

A Top-Hatted Tiger

Talents come in all sorts and we want to celebrate each and every achievement that our tiger family want to celebrate.

One of our Tigers has completed a specialised program at his school in traditional gentleman behaviours. It focuses on pillars of respect, etiquette, presentation and handyman skills. They learn to do up ties, make hot chocolate and cheese toasties, construct furniture, how to shake hands properly and the importance of opening doors for others and giving your seat to the elderly, ladies and those with mobility issues.

Tiger Eamon has successfully completed the program and was the quickest in the program to put together the furniture and helped others complete theirs.

With respect as a cornerstone of what we value here at the Tigers, we are very happy and proud to celebrate Eamon's success and subsequent graduation from Gentleman's Club.  (He was even wearing his tigers gear proudly at the presentation as it was school mufti day)
